Spring has Sprung in Kansas City

The weather may not feel like spring now, but the season is upon us.  During this time of year, I hear a bunch of people talk about cleaning out their closets, garages, power washing their siding, cleaning windows and gutters; basically, deep cleaning the entire house.  That is a great idea! 

How many people think of the systems that run their home during the popular “spring cleaning” time?  The weather will get warmer, even sweltering, and the day will come soon.  What will you do if your air conditioner isn’t working during the first hot day of the year?  I can take a guess; you will call all over town to see who can get to your home the quickest.  You won’t care about price or quality of work; you’re only concerned about cooling your home, right now!

What if I told you there is a way to prevent the family suffering in a hot house, or having to go to a hotel so your family won’t have to endure the heat (this includes our furry family members, too)?

Most people expect their air conditioning system to just work whenever they want it to.  This is not always the case, and we see it EVERY year!

Preventative maintenance is crucial to ensure your HVAC system(s) are running at the highest efficiency and there are no key indicators of possible repairs. 

Should you need a repair, it sure would be nice to fix it in the Spring than when it’s in the 90’s and humid outside.

If you choose not to have preventative maintenance on your system, you could end up in an emergency.  This is not only costly, but you would more than likely be in a long line of people waiting for the same issue.  How stressful!

Not only that, but as mentioned above, in an emergency, you may not receive the quality of service you deserve.  You may also be at risk of being taken advantage of.

Unfortunately, this happens often when people have emergencies.  One tip is to ask if the company you’re considering offers up-front pricing in writing before performing repairs.  Most the time, there is a charge to show up to your home and that is to be expected.
